Third-Party CDL Testing
CDL testing is available for individuals who have completed all 3 segments of the Entry Level Drivers Training. Third-Party testing is available in Cranberry, Pennsylvania (Venango County), and Erie, Pennsylvania. You must submit a copy of your permit 48 hours before the date of your test. This can be done either by fax or an emailed photo.
Things you need to bring:

Valid Driver's License (Copies are not permitted on test day)

Valid CDL Permit (Copies are not permitted on test day)

Out-Of-State Drivers: must also bring a license and permit. The two are not equivalent legally. Also must not have a "K" restriction on the permit.

Successfully completed all the requirements for ELDT (Theory, Range, and Road)
CDL Testing Fees
Initial CDL Exam Fee: $250.00
Retesting Fees:
Full Exam Retest: $225.00
Skills and Road Retest: $150.00
Road Retest: $75.00
Note: Retesting fees only apply to individuals that have previously tested at PA PRIDE, if you tested at another location, you will be charged the initial CDL Exam Fee.
Practice Time
Practice time is $100.00 for every hour purchased.

Automatic Restriction Removal Fee: $150.00
Tractor Trailer Restriction Removal Fee: $225.00
Vehicle Rental
Class A: $300.00 (Plus Testing Fees)
Straight Truck: $225.00 (Plus Testing Fees)
Trailer Rental: $150.00 (Plus Testing Fees)
Note: Vehicle rentals are only available for CDL skills testing at PA PRIDE's testing locations.
